The converted lounge, once an old milking barn, has a high vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, inglenook fireplace and heaps of character. It is well-equipped with wide screen TV, video recorder, stereo with radio, tape deck and CD player and seating for up to nine people. There is a good selection of videos to use and a variety of board games.
The farmhouse kitchen has electric oven with gas hob, dishwasher, solid fuel Rayburn, microwave, larder fridge, 6-drawer freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
The dining room has exposed beams and seating for eight.
The Snooker room houses a three-quarter sized slate-bedded snooker table, with both pool and snooker balls.
There are four bedrooms, two with double beds, one with king-size bed and one a twin-bedded room plus a travel cot.
The upstairs pine bathroom has a bath with shower over, plus a toilet and sink. There is also a separate shower room upstairs with a double-size shower, and downstairs in the cloakroom there is a toilet and sink.
A 32ft x 16ft Swiss-style indoor heated swimming pool and separate jacuzzi spa bath are housed in a converted barn with a hardwood deck surround, pine walls and stunning views across the surrounding countryside. The pool house is just 80ft from the font door.
This spacious hardwood conservatory looks out across the lake and the edge of the Cambrian mountain range from where you can watch both the birdlife and wildlife. The farm is part of the local Conservation Trust and has over 30 bird boxes. The conservatory with stone floor leads into the lounge through 12ft oak doors. You can sit in here and watch the days drift by...
The garden at the back of the cottage is a safe, fenced-in area. There is an undercover patio for those warm rainy days, a gas BBQ and plenty of garden furniture.
The lake is approximately 1/3 acre in length and is home to both fish and bird life. The lake is stocked with tench, roach and carp and the two small islands on the lake offer homes to a variety of wildlife, including wagtails. There is a small rowing boat by the lakeside for the energetic!
The old farmhouse is surrounded by 35 acres of private land in rural Carmarthenshire, including a woodland area with a stream running through. There are sheep grazing on a small section of the land through the spring and summer months and we have 2 resident pet sheep called Malcolm and Madge who live here all year round.
